District Nagar Honors Freedom and Sacrifices of Martyrs

Celebrations filled with emotion and devotion were held across the district to mark the Battle of Truth and Independence Day.


District Nagar was filled with the spirit of patriotism and the colors of sacrifice this morning, as events were held across the district to mark the Day of Truth and Independence Day.

The central ceremony began at 8 a.m. at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, reaching its peak when the national flag was hoisted high into the sky. Air of the District Nagar echoed with the resounding chants of Pakistan Zindabad as hearts beat with pride. A freedom rally then set off from the DC Office, making its way to Government College Harispo, where youth, with bright faces and shining eyes, renewed their pledge of love for the homeland.

In tribute to the martyrs, patriotic songs were performed, bringing tears to many eyes and softening hearts. The atmosphere was filled with a renewed determination to serve and protect the country.

Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner Nagar, Mr. Asghar Khan Ahmed, in his passionate address, said:
“This freedom was not gifted to us; it has been nourished with the blood of martyrs.
We must be ready to make every sacrifice for the protection and honor of our land.”

At the ending ceremony the DC met with the families of martyrs offering condolences and paying tribute to their patience and courage. DC Nagar also visited the graves of martyrs, recited prayers and sought blessings for the nation’s prosperity and the martyrs’ high ranks in jannah.

This very emotional event ended with certificates and shields awarded to students and participants ensuring their efforts and spirit would be remembered.
