Pakistani gaming expert joins Google

Pakistan’s tech and gaming scenes reached a new level . Fasieh Mehta, a well-known expert and strong supporter of Pakistan’s creative economy, has joined Google as the Industry Head for Mobile Apps & Gaming in Pakistan. He will be working from Google’s Asia-Pacific office in Singapore. Before this, he worked at Epic Games, where he represented Pakistan and helped promote the country’s gaming industry worldwide.

This appointment shows that the world is starting to recognize Pakistan’s growing success in app development and gaming. In recent years, local creators have made popular apps and games that have gained global attention. Big tech companies are now taking notice. Having a Pakistani in a leadership role at Google is a big achievement—not just for him, but for the whole country.

 

According to someone familiar with the situation, Fasieh was chosen after a tough 10-month hiring process. The job was open to the public, and like all roles at Google, it involved several interview rounds and a detailed evaluation. Google made it clear—they wanted the best person to lead and grow Pakistan’s mobile apps and gaming industry on a global level.
